Day 14 - January 14th - Is it thawing?

After these weeks of snow and days of treacherous black ice it actually looks like it may be thawing! It's very cold out and more snow is forecast but it was great to see the snow melting, maybe life will start to get back to normal!

In the UK we seem to be so caught up in the winter freeze, which is causing problems for so many, but we appear to have become blind to other things happening around the world. It has been horrible to hear the stories of the earthquake in Haiti. I have been watching the news and have been so saddened by the photos and stories of people who have lost their lives.
